Step 1: Confirm U-Boot and the recovery entry point

This guide is for H3C Magic NX30 Pro devices already using a compatible ImmortalWrt U-Boot recovery layout. It is not a stock-firmware installation guide and does not cover every custom U-Boot. Confirm the bootloader and partition layout before using the IP addresses or recovery files below. Router Recovery prepares the Mac-side TFTP Server; it does not install or repair the bootloader.

Complete the firmware and Mac preparation in Steps 3 and 4 before following the installed U-Boot documentation for Reset and power-on. Do not write BL2 or FIP just to follow this page. Button timing and LED behavior are build-specific; check for an actual TFTP request.

Step 3: Verify the recovery firmware

The compatible ImmortalWrt U-Boot source defines the recovery request name below. This bootloader filename does not remove the need to verify the downloaded release, checksum and layout.

  1. Select the exact H3C Magic NX30 Pro profile and compatible layout; verify the download source and checksum.
  2. Compare the actual request with the filename; rename only as the matching release instructions require.
  3. Recovery and sysupgrade images serve different purposes. Do not substitute a generic factory.bin image.
  4. This guide does not provide stock restoration. An H3C .bin file is not automatically a valid LuCI upgrade image.

Step 4：Start TFTP server

  1. Open Router Recovery on the Mac and prepare a local TFTP Server
  2. Ensure the Mac IP is set to 192.168.1.254
  3. Select the folder that contains the H3C NX30 Pro recovery firmware
  4. Start the TFTP Server and confirm it is ready before entering recovery mode

Step 5: Observe the request and transfer

  1. Confirm the compatible U-Boot, Mac network and TFTP Server are ready before entering recovery as documented for that build.
  2. Look for a request from the expected router IP and match the requested file to the served folder.
  3. If no request arrives, check Ethernet, port, static IP and recovery entry before changing images.
  4. After transfer, follow the build instructions and verify recovery-system access. Do not disconnect power or assume recovery succeeded just because progress reaches 100%.

Step 6: Verify the system and next-step boundaries

Keep Ethernet connected and check the management address, login method and system state against the matching image documentation. Reaching a recovery environment does not prove permanent installation.

Can I flash H3C stock firmware directly?

A safe stock-return procedure for this bootloader and partition layout has not been verified here. Do not upload an arbitrary H3C .bin through LuCI, force image validation or restore partitions from another router. Obtain matching restoration instructions and backups first.

How should I install or upgrade next?

Use the installation or sysupgrade image and release instructions for the exact profile and layout. Preserve settings only when that migration explicitly allows it. Stop if validation fails. For a forgotten password, check the installed system password-recovery procedure rather than reflashing the bootloader.

When recovery is finished or paused, stop TFTP and restore normal network and firewall settings.
