Confirm the model, firmware file, Mac static IP, Ethernet connection, and recovery mode before the short TFTP window.
This guide is for H3C Magic NX30 Pro devices already using a compatible ImmortalWrt U-Boot recovery layout. It is not a stock-firmware installation guide and does not cover every custom U-Boot. Confirm the bootloader and partition layout before using the IP addresses or recovery files below. Router Recovery prepares the Mac-side TFTP Server; it does not install or repair the bootloader.
Before you start, confirm these parameters match the device, firmware file, and recovery flow.
| Required setup | H3C Magic NX30 Pro β compatible ImmortalWrt U-Boot layout |
|---|---|
| Recovery method | TFTP recovery mode |
| Router recovery IP | 192.168.1.1 |
| Computer static IP | 192.168.1.254 |
| Recommended firmware file | immortalwrt-mediatek-filogic-h3c_magic-nx30-pro-initramfs-recovery.itb |
| Common failure causes | Wrong Mac IP, TFTP server not running, mismatched firmware, router not in recovery mode |
Prepare the Mac-side TFTP Server environment first, then enter recovery mode and transfer the matching firmware.

Complete the firmware and Mac preparation in Steps 3 and 4 before following the installed U-Boot documentation for Reset and power-on. Do not write BL2 or FIP just to follow this page. Button timing and LED behavior are build-specific; check for an actual TFTP request.
Unsure which U-Boot is installed? Stop before flashing and record the model, hardware revision and previous bootloader changes.
The compatible ImmortalWrt U-Boot source defines the recovery request name below. This bootloader filename does not remove the need to verify the downloaded release, checksum and layout.

192.168.1.254Keep Ethernet connected and check the management address, login method and system state against the matching image documentation. Reaching a recovery environment does not prove permanent installation.
A safe stock-return procedure for this bootloader and partition layout has not been verified here. Do not upload an arbitrary H3C .bin through LuCI, force image validation or restore partitions from another router. Obtain matching restoration instructions and backups first.
Use the installation or sysupgrade image and release instructions for the exact profile and layout. Preserve settings only when that migration explicitly allows it. Stop if validation fails. For a forgotten password, check the installed system password-recovery procedure rather than reflashing the bootloader.
When recovery is finished or paused, stop TFTP and restore normal network and firewall settings.

Before holding Reset and powering on, confirm the Mac static IP, TFTP Server, firmware folder, Ethernet cable, and recovery file are ready.
Check Recovery SetupThis tutorial is for learning and reference only. Recovery depends on the device model, firmware file, bootloader state, and whether the router actually enters recovery mode. Flashing firmware carries risks and may cause bricked devices or void warranty. Before proceeding:
